In less than four weeks, the Grade 6 Student Representative Council (SRC) at Woodlands Primary School in Langwarrin were able to rally their community to pull out all stops and support their PJ drive for MSFIN.
Last day of Term 2 and what was the end result? The team had collected 150 sets of brand new pyjamas in a range of different sizes and colors, plus raised just over $1200 in a cash donation! Wowsers! What an effort!
With the help of the Parents and Friends Association, the students worked hard behind the scenes creating posters and spreading the word in a bid to do something incredible…and just look at what they achieved (and the smiles on their faces) when MSFIN came to collect.
It was amazing to meet with some of the students, staff and parents and tell them about how their efforts will help ensure a good night’s sleep for kids who are doing it a little tough at the moment.
